Access to the library in the Sainsbury Building

The Simpson Collection, taxonomic works, floras and monographs are now all housed in the new library in the Sainsbury Building. Access to this building is controlled by security staff, who currently require a form giving permission to use the library authorised  by Dr Coomes before they will let anyone in. That applies to members of the Department of Plant Sciences too. As of March 2012, we are working on improving access : watch this space! But meanwhile, please contact Dr Coomes if you are planning a visit, via library@plantsci.cam.ac.uk.
